Selective startup partnerships
For the right venture, we can discuss equity.
We primarily work through paid projects and retainers. For selected startups with demonstrated traction and a strong fit, we are open to discussing equity or a combination of cash and equity.
Look at the business and the contribution together
An equity conversation needs more than a product idea. We want to understand the customer problem, what you have learned, evidence of demand, and the role a technical partner would need to play.
The contribution might span product decisions, engineering, data, AI, infrastructure, or ongoing technical leadership. The scope and the commercial arrangement need to make sense together.
What we look at
- Traction: customers, usage, revenue, pilots, or other credible evidence of demand.
- Founder commitment and the ability to make and carry out decisions.
- A technical need that fits the team’s experience.
- Commercial resources and a realistic route to the next milestone.
- The expected contribution, responsibilities, and long-term alignment.
A selective option alongside normal engagements
Most work will be better suited to a paid project or retainer. Where a partnership is a strong fit, we can explore an arrangement that combines an appropriate contribution with shared upside.
This is a conversation about technical contribution and alignment. Any capital investment or funding introduction would be a separate, explicitly agreed discussion.
What to bring
Send a concise description of the company, the customer, the traction, what has been built, the next milestone, and what you want a technical partner to own. Include your proposed cash and equity expectations if you have them.
We can then assess whether there is a useful next conversation and which form of engagement fits.
